Armando Giovanni Iannucci OBE (/jəˈnuːtʃi/) is a Scottish satirist, writer, director, and radio producer. He is the creator of television series Avenue 5 and has written and directed episodes of the series.
Iannucci is known for co-creating the character Alan Partridge, which originates from the radio series On the Hour and the television series The Day Today and went on to feature in a number of Iannucci's television and radio programmes, including Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge and I'm Alan Partridge.
He created the BBC political sitcom The Thick of It, the HBO political satire Veep, and the films In the Loop (which includes characters from The Thick of It) and The Death of Stalin.
